Coventry City have sacked Andy Thorn.
The club are fourteenth in League One after drawing their first three matches and leading in every game.
Thorn, who was also the club's chief scout was offically appointed on April 28 2011 after taking over as caretaker manager in February of that year when Aidy Boothroyd was sacked.
Thorn said that he wanted to move City on but was in charge of a City team which were relegated from the Championship last season without too much of a fight.
He was not helped by the club's owners keeping a tight control on the purse strings last season but was given funds in the summer for players who have not delivered a victory in their opening three games.
A statement is expected this afternoon.
