Children’s Minister Tim Loughton was the latest Government minister to visit the the Ricoh Arena this week when he was a guest speak at a national conference of the National Fostering Agency.
Mr Loughton, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children is the seventh Government minister to have visited the Ricoh Arena this year.
The former University of Warwick student and Coventry resident told the Ricoh Arena website: “I was at Warwick University some 28 years ago and, although I have been back to Coventry since, I had not visited this side of the city until now and had not been to the Ricoh Arena.
“It is very impressive and is a real transformation to what was here before. I would like to try to come back to watch the football to be played here during the Olympics.”
