According to an article in the Coventry Telegraph, architects AFLS+P don't really care what Coventry City supporters think of their stadium designs.
With many supporters citing the designs which were unveiled on Fridays, which were not particularly clear, as meaningless whilst there is no site purchased on which to build a stadium, the architects through Associate Director Martin Rogers seem unconcerned as to the view of City supporters and told Simon Gilbert of the Coventry Telegraph: “Hopefully the reaction has been positive. Football is all about emotions and there was always going to be a reaction to these designs.
“We are working to sites the club are working at acquiring, it is not a design provided without context.
“We have been working with the club for quite a lot of months now. We have been asked to carry out a job for the club and that is what we intend to do.
“We are employed by the club to carry out drawing and plans. Payment is an issue between us and the club, but there are no issues there.”
