Whether naming the Chinese company that Gary Hoffman has been talking to for over a year in a bid to try and get them to buy Coventry City FC, will prove to be a good thing, time will tell, but the CT have today named the Wanda Group as the conglomerate that he has been speaking to.
With assets of £20bn, the company which sponsors the Chinese Super League have a portfolio of properties including 49 Wanda Plazas, 26 luxury hotels, 86 cinemas, 40 department stores, and 45 karaoke centres all around China, as well as recently buying the American AMC Group which also deals in cinemas.
The company is fronted by 57 year old Wang Jianlin, a former soldier and Communist Party deputy and is the 232rd richest man in the world.
