An article in the CET claims the club hope to have an open day on Saturday August 20th so they can prepare themselves with all the necessary safety checks before the first game.
City Chairman Mike McGinnity said:"It's just a shame we are not in the stadium on July 31 as we had hoped, which would have enabled us to get organised and for the fans to know exactly where they are sitting.
"As it stands, we are being allowed in on the Friday night which makes it almost impossible to make sure that everything falls into place for a Saturday kick-off.
"It seems logical for us to allow fans to come along and get their bearings and also vital for our stewards and staff to know what they are doing and where they are going."
