Arjan Is Our Leader

Arjan De Zeeuw will skipper the Sky Blues when he returns to fitness. He takes over from Robert Page who was appointed club captain by Micky Adams.

Said Iain Dowie to the club website: "There's no secret that Arjan De Zeeuw came in to be the leader of the club in terms of the captaincy role. "He's a top man - one of the best professionals I've ever come across - and he's started running again now so we're looking at having him available again after the international break at the start of September.

"Unfortunately at the moment he's injured, but as far as Saturday is concerned we have a lot of leaders out there who can do a job as captain."

Michael Doyle, who has been captain in a number of the friendles could be given the armband on Saturday but Dowie has the option of Robert Page. Stephen Hughes or Michael hughes who all have previous captain's experience.
