The popular Coventry City midfielder did not have the best of starts to the season but has shown in recent matches that he is back to his best.
"I am feeling a lot better in my head now, so mentally I am back, and physically I am getting there," said Gunnarsson to the CT.
"Hopefully people will see more of this from me this season, I am not worried about that. I am just happy to be playing again and concentrating on my football.
"I am not thinking about anything else and I just need to get on with my football because that's all that matters to me. I don't care about anything else, just about playing football.
"I am starting to enjoy playing again and I am a different person in training now and in the games I am well up for it, so you could say that I am back to my normal old Gunnarsson."
