Coventry City will have to announce seven substitutes for their League One matches this season.
Football League clubs today voted on a proposal by Birmingham City and Derby County at its summer conference to return the number of substitutes that can be named to seven from the five it was for the 2011/2012 season,
For Coventry City, who could have a very small squad if the transfer embargo is lifted later rather than sooner, this could be problematic and see many more of the U18's forced to sit on the bench to make up the numbers when they could have been playing matches for Greg Rioch's side.
