Coventry City manager Mark Robins will have to make wholesale changes to his side when they face Arlesley Town in the FA Cup first round because some of his on loan players have been denied permission to play by their parent clubs.
The latest player set to miss out is James Bailey as his parent club Derby County looks set to deny permission for him to play as they do not want him cup tied. He has made eight appearances for Coventry since his move, all of them from the start of the games. He has usually partnered Steven Jennings in the centre of defence.
Bailey joined Coventry City in September on a three month loan and joins David McGoldrick, on loan from Nottingham Forest, on the side lines for the cup clash.
Bailey’s Derby team mate Callum Ball, also on loan at Coventry will be eligible to play for the Sky Blues in the FA Cup this season as he is on a season long loan.
