Carl Baker and Gary Deegan are both after the midfield place vacated by Gary Gardner who has gone back to parent club Aston Villa for the Boxing Day game against Bristol City at the Ricoh Arena.
Baker has over-come a virus which kept him out of the defeat to Peterborough, whilst Gary Deegan (pictured below) is back in the squad after not being selected by City boss Andy Thorn, despite training and being fit.
Martin Cranie who has a rib injury, Cody McDonald who has a knee injury and Sammy Clingan who has a broken toe, are all out.
Bristol City could recall former City defender Loius Carey. He could come into the side to replace Liam Fontaine who has an ankle injury.
Nicky Maynard whose talks about a new contract with The Robins have ended with the forward seemingly to be off-loaded in January, could be omitted from the squad by manager Derek Mcinnes.
