Coventry City captain Carl Baker will miss the Sky Blues next three matches after the FA turned down City's appeal against Baker's red card.
Baker was sent off in the 55th minute of the defeat at Leyton Orient for a tackle which was not reckless and certainly not worse than others that went on during the game.
City appealed to the FA to try and get the three game ban over turned but their appeal was rejected and Baker will miss the games at Northampton against Bristol City and Preston as well as the trip to Carlisle United.
The one good thing was that the FA did not add any more matches to the ban which can be the outcome if an appeal is rejected.
