Coventry City's exciting midfielder Carl Maker has said he is counting to days off the calendar to the start of the new season.
Baker is with the rest of the squad in Austria at a pre season training camp working on his fitness. He admitted he is not a summer person and can't wait for the summer to end so he can start playing football again.
He said to Sky Blue Player: "I've never really been a summer person so I've been looking forward to the start of the season for the last two months."
"The first game is always important so hopefully we can get off to a good start against Portsmouth."
Baker, like most of the team are stunned by the scenery surrounding them in the small village of Obertraun which is in the middle of The Alps. "I must have taken 100's of pictures on my phone to show my girlfriend when I get back, said Baker. "To come out and see these sights every day, it's not difficult to want to come out and train in it, but our fitness is why we're out here and it's something the manager takes very seriously and you can see we're all getting fitter every day so now we want to get back and get started."
