Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker is wanted by Birmingham City who will try to sign the talented 27 year old in the January transfer window.
According to reports in the Lancashire Telegraph, Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has been impressed with the performance of Baker who signed for Coventry from Stockport County in February 2010 for a reported £300,000.
Baker has struggled to get a regular game under Aidy Boothroyd and was left on the bench for yesterday's defeat at Barnsley.
