Coventry City's recent signing, midfielder Carl Baker has told the club's website that the whole team is focused and refused to be sidetracked by talk of the play offs.

Coventry City are currently enjoying a good run of form at The Ricoh Arena winning five of their last six games at home. Confidence has been boosted with a  morale boosting away win last week at Crystal Palace.

Baker admitted that there had been talk among the players about the play offs, but denied the talk would cause them to lose their focus.

He told the club website, "Everyone is buzzing at the moment and yes there has been a bit of talk about the play-offs but the lads know the work  ethic that has got us into this position and we all know that   we need to concentrate on doing what we have been doing,.

"We are not getting too far ahead of ourselves but at the same  time I think it's good because it helps motivate you even more. I've been loving my time here to be fair and Saturday is even more my favourite day now than it was before because the gaffer has kept calling my name out on the team sheet and it's  meant I've been able to play in a stadium like the Ricoh which has been unbelievable."

He continued, "It's been a bit surreal to be honest these past few weeks because we've been playing well at home and then I find myself running out onto the pitch at St James' Park to play for Coventry so I can't describe how that felt. The lads are all making sure they are not looking too far ahead though because we know we have been getting some good results and we need to carry that on against Scunthorpe on Saturday."

"I saw the game against Scunthorpe earlier in the season because it was on Sky and I think any team will look for a bit  of revenge in the second fixture having lost the first one so the lads are all well up for it."
