Paul Barber, who through knowing Leonard Brody, was an advisor to Coventry City's owners SISU, appears to have ended his brief spell with the Hedge Fund in order to become Chief Executive at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Barber, who has worked with Vancouver Whitecaps, Tottenham and The FA, will start his new role at The Amex Stadium on June 18th. He is reported as having attended one meeting to discuss the possible deal which will allow Coventry City to make some money out of their Ricoh Arena home.

Brighton Chairman Tony Bloom said to his club's website: "The board's aim was to bring in a top-class chief executive, and Paul fits that criteria. He has a great deal of high-level experience across a number of sectors, but most importantly has a great CV in terms of football.

"Having worked for the FA, Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS, he has excellent knowledge and experience of the commercial, marketing and communications side of the game, here in the UK and overseas.

"Paul also has an extensive network of contacts across the football industry, which will be of great benefit to the club as we strive to progress."
