Graham Barrett is back at Coventry City but he won't be stopping. The midfielder/striker has ended his loan spell at Scottish Premier League side Livingston after picking up a knee injury.
The Irishman told the CET: "I am out for the rest of the season so I came back to Coventry this week to get treatment. "I started the season well up there and was playing up front which is where I have always said I would like to play, but I got my studs caught in the turf in a game and felt something pop in my right knee.
"That was back in October and I had an operation where they cleaned the knee out and, in the meantime, Livingston extended my loan deal for the rest of the season because they were happy with my form and thought I would be fit again soon.
"But I was still having trouble with the knee and they put a camera in to have another look five weeks ago, and hopefully they have got to the bottom of the problem this time. "I am on crutches at the moment and decided that I might as well come back to Coventry and get treatment until the summer."
Barrett Is Back
"The manager told me I wasn't part of his plans last summer but that's OK and I fully understand his reasons. "I wish him and all the lads at Coventry the very best of luck. They have done very well this season and I hope they carry on to better things next season.
"As for my future, I don't know what will happen yet. Livingston have said they are still interested in signing me but I need to get fit first and see what my options are. At the moment it looks like there won't be as many as I had hoped.
"I have had a disrupted couple of years and it would be nice to get settled again at another club."
