Adam Barton is back in full training with Coventry City.
The club had been trying to off-load the midfielder but were unable to agree a pay-off for him to leave the club and Barton is seeing out his contract at Coventry.
City boss Steven Pressley has decided that with City not having the biggest squad and with JPT matches and U21's games, there is an opportunity for Barton to play if he does not make City's first team bench.
Speaking to Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph, Pressley said: “Adam is back in full training so he will be part of the group again moving forward and he needs games now.
“He’ll be vying for the matchday bench. Whether he makes that remains to be seen, but he’ll not be going out on loan because we have got quite a lot of games with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, the Under-21s and we’re not biggest of groups so we’re going to need him.”
