New Coventry City signing Adam Barton has said that he is happy to join a big club.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player's Keiran Crowley, the mdifeilder said: "I'm very happy to join such a big club and they will be pushing for promotion this year and that's what I want. If we can get back up to the Championship, it would be a great achievement.
"I like the way Andy Thorn sets up his teams to play. When I heard Coventry were interested, I really wanted the move because I knew it would progress my football.
"My injuries are behind me now and I am just happy to get back out on the pitch. I played my best football in the Championship and I'm looking to the future, that is where I want to be and the club wants to be.
"I want to play week in, week out and use this as a great opportunity, which it is. The situation at Preston meant I couldn't get any games under my belt so I'm happy to get playing again at Coventry."
