Adam Barton has admitted that he is taking his remaining time at Coventry City on a day by day basis.
The midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season and had been told that he was free to find another club, had his first start for City's first team against Bristol City on Saturday and told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I’m just taking it day by day. If I am back in for selection with the manager, then it’s great news for myself. It’s always what I intended to do but, if not, then I’ll keep working hard in training.
“I could have been training with the kids but I don’t want to be there so I have made myself available to train with the first team and hopefully my attitude has been what the manager wants and I’ll continue to do that.”
