Former Coventry City Ladies defender Laura Bassett was left out of the England side which crashed 3-0 to France and went out of the Women's European Championships in Sweden.
England needed a win after two draws but fell behind to a ninth minute Eugenie Le Sumner goal before Lucia Necib added a second in the 62nd minute and Wendle Renard grabbed a third two minutes later.
