The BBC have been criticised by some Coventry City supporters for showing a lack of respect to the Sky Blues in an article on their website.
It appears from the Covsupport News Service inbox that the television station has come in for critcism for an article which fails to omit the late Tony Hateley's time at Coventry City and gives the impression that his son Mark started his career at Portsmouth rather than at Coventry City.
One City supporter who contacted us, wrote: "Very sad to hear of Tony Hateley's passing yesterday but more so disappointed that according to the BBC he played for Notts County, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool. Didn't he play for another club in the first division, I wonder which one? Getting tired of the BBC's lack of respect for CCFC."
Whilst another commented: "Given Tony's time at Highfield Road was a brief interlude in his career that might just about be forgivable except the same article manages to compound the offence by referring to his son Mark, a product of the CCFC youth system, in a way that implies his career started at Portsmouth."
