"Touch wood, it is okay at the moment and I am taking each day as it comes and so far so good," said Bell, who is back after two ankle operations to the CT.
"I didn't train yesterday as a bit of a precaution because I played 65 minutes on Saturday and we have got another game at Northampton tonight, but it is going well at the moment.
"It's getting there, although I am still not totally 100 per cent pain-free but hopefully I am over the worst and each day that I train is a day closer to my ankle being right.
"I feel quite fit but I want to get more games under my belt before the season because the more minutes the better for me.
"I have had four months out without anything like a competitive game, and it will be five months by the time the season starts, so I want to get as many games in as possible and take it from there."
