Former Coventry City forward Craig Bellamy is to face an FA charge.
Bellamy was charged with an incident of violent conduct during Cardiff City's 3-0 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday.
However, the incident was not spotted by former Walsgrave resident Andre Marrner during the game but was picked up by the television cameras and a three-man panel of former elite referees will be asked by The FA to review the alleged incident and then advise 'what, if any action, they believe the match referee should have taken had it been witnessed at the time.'
There was a unanimous decision from that panel that this was an act of violent conduct and Bellamy has until 6pm tomorrow to appeal.
