Craig Bellamy looks set to return to Coventry with his Cardiff side on Tuesday after being left out of the Cardiff team Dave Jones selected to play Bristol City today.

Bellamy has a persistent knee problem and can only play one game a week to give his damaged knee time to recover.

Cardiff entertain Bristol City in today's early kick off and with the omission of the Welsh captain, the way is left open for Bellamy, who played for Coventry City in their relegation season, to play for Cardiff on Tuesday evening.

Bellamy said he would not play for Coventry City if they were relegated and when they lost their Premier League status, he promptly demanded a transfer and moved to Newcastle.
