Coventry City legend Dave Bennett has said that the Sky Blues not playing at the Ricoh Arena is costing the club players.
Franck Moussa was one player who admitted to not liking playing at Sixfields when City should have been at the Ricoh Arena and there are rumours that another season of playing at Northampton for another season hastened the departure of Callum Wilson to AFC Bournemouth.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Bennett said: “It’s a great stadium, fan wise and even from a player perspective. You ask any player and they want to play at the highest level and the best stadiums they can, no disrespect to Northampton and Sixfields but it’s no wonder the best players are leaving.
“You can tell that teams coming to the Ricoh always try harder and we’ve got to get back there. The way everything is going, we’ve got them talking, now hopefully they can shake hands and get Coventry back to the Ricoh.”
