"I was asked in the pre-season if I would consider it and I said I would and then the manager (Bryan Flynn) said he would come and meet me but that hasn't happened up to now so I am not really sure what's happening," said Turner to the CT.
"I haven't got a clue how he knew about my Welsh roots. I have got two full Welsh grandparents - a grandad on one side and a nan on the other - although I don't really know what that makes me, but I am eligible.
"I haven't got a clue whereabouts they come from in Wales and I haven't been there since I was at school.
"Up to now I have always considered myself as an Englishman.
"I played for England under-19s but you don't actually have to commit yourself if you have got a split nationality until you reach under-21s level.
"I am just concentrating on doing well for Coventry because they have been good to me since I was ten and anything on top is just the icing really."
