Morecambe Manager Jim Bentley was disappointed that his side went out of the FA Cup with a 2-1 defeat at Coventry City in a First Round Replay.
Bentley told the Press Association: "We were 1-0 up away from home and needed to take our time and kill the game, rather than chasing a second goal.
"They're a good footballing side but we knew we could hurt them with our physicality from set-plays and counter attacking.
"The game was going to plan and we were limiting them to long-range efforts, but the disappointing thing is five minutes before half-time, do we need to chase a second goal and leave ourselves wide open?
"Kyel Reid is a decent player and has got legs so once he knocked it over Aaron Wildig's head we knew there was going to be problems.
"The equaliser was frustrating, but the second goal was a killer for me. They kept the ball well in the second half but we still had opportunities and hurt them physically and on the counter attack, but unfortunately we couldn't get that second goal.
"We've had a go and in my opinion we should have won, I'm just so disappointed that we're out of the cup."
