Best Arrives For Newcastle Talks

Coventry City striker Leon Best has arrived in Newcastle for talks about a permanent 'minimal bid' move to St James' Park.

The striker, who was booed off by some of the City support when he was substituted on Saturday is out of contract and the Sky Blues will be looking for a fee as they are entitled to compensation as he is under twenty four.

Speaking about the booing of Best on Saturday, a fuming Chris Coleman told the CT: "I don't like that. "You don't boo your own players. I don't care if Besty had a stinker or not, you don't do that - it's rubbish.

"Whether Besty is leaving in this transfer window or the summer, he's still a Coventry City player and no-one goes out there meaning to play badly.

"He didn't give a lazy performance out there. He got into one or two positions where maybe he could have done better, but I don't think the pitch helped him when it bobbled up once or twice on his last pass."

Many including ourselves were at a loss to explain why the boos occured but today, one Facebook user posted: "cos hes sh*t thats why and we are sick of sh*t players like him."
