Coventry City are looking increasingly likely to have the services of Leon Best until the end of the season.
Speculation has linked Best to moves to West Brom and Middlesbrough but the club have received nothing official concerning the Republic Of Ireland internatonal who is out of contract at the Ricoh Arena on July 1st.
Speaking to the CT, Chris Coleman said: “Maybe we will keep him until the end of the season and if we do that and can’t agree a new contract we won’t be losing him for nothing because of the compensation rule.
“I spoke to him over the weekend about the situation and he’s quite content here. "He doesn’t think anything is going to happen and thinks he will be here until the end of the season, at least, and that’s fine with us.
“There was interest from one club for Leon Best but that’s all it was. "There have been no offers, all it was was a phone call.”
