Coventry City new midfielder Carl Baker has said that his first experience of playing for the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena was better than he thought it would be.
Speaking to the club website, the signing from Stockport County, who was a 76th minute substitute in the 3-1 win against Barnsley this afternoon, said: ">"It was pretty surreal to be honest because I thought it would be good playing in this stadium but it was even better than I thought it would be.
"I was the only one of our lads asking the ref nhow much time was left hoping there would be more because I didn't want it to end."
"I like to get hold of the ball and take on defenders and run at them so I tried to use the time I had on the pitch to do that as much as I could.
"Unfortunately I'm cup-tied for the game against Portsmouth on Tuesday because I would have loved to play in that but I'll still be here cheering the lads on and hopefully we can get through to the next round."
