The Frenchman signed by City in the summer from Hibs, started the season in the first team but lost his place after an injury.
He told the CT: "I am on the bench for the moment but the team have been playing well and getting some good results so the manager can't just change the team.
"But it is good to have competition with everyone pushing for a place in the team, and that is good for the spirit. The season is long and I will continue to work hard and wait for my chance again.
"I am very different to the other two midfielders and it is good for the manager to have different people to choose."
"I was pleased with the way I played when I was in the team but I think I can play better. "I need to do more offensively. I have played a deeper holding role - last year I played with one sitting and two in midfield and now it is 4-4-2 and different again.
"I was sitting last year but I like to get forward as well. Our team is creating an incredible amount of chances now and players like Michael Doyle, Jay Tabb and Aron Gunarsson all had great chances in the last game. It is crazy because everyone can score, which is good.
"I like to score a few goals and did at Hibs before I was given a sitting role. I scored a few with my head or from just outside the box, but I also like to pass the ball to the strikers for them to score."
"The Championship is very intense with goal to goal action, so it is physically hard work, but nothing that I didn't expect.
"It is similar to Scottish football in that respect, although obviously a higher level and quality here.
"We are sixth in the league and that is very exciting for the future. The spirit is very good and I am just waiting to be part of it."
