Max Biamou has said that he was happy with his first goal for Coventry City.
Biamou scored an absolute stunner of a goal to help the Sky Blues to a 3-1 win over a Swindon Town side at the Ricoh Arena and told Alex Lowe about his goal: “It was a fantastic goal and it is my first goal in the league so I am very happy for that, but the most important thing is the victory, so I am happy.
“I was so frustrated that I didn't score in the league.
“Some people were waiting for that to happen and now I’m happy and I now need to keep working hard to score more goals and work hard to help the team rise up the league.
“Sometimes it’s difficult as a striker when you’re not scoring goals because now in football statistics are very important.
“So, if you win the game, some people can say yes we win the game and Maxime helps the team to the win and sometimes if you lose the game they can say, he doesn’t score and it’s his fault.
“But, you have to stay focused and keep working hard in training sessions and in the game and then the goals will come.”
His fellow forward Marc McNulty was full of praise and said: “I was delighted.
“That was probably the best thing from the game, Maxy getting a goal.
“You could see from when he scored, not just for him, but for everyone, it was a good feeling and I’m buzzing for him.
“I know from experience, it took me while to get going and once you get one, anything can happen.
“His confidence will be sky high now and he will be buzzing to play next week.”
