A bidding war for Leeds United Jermaine Beckford now looks likely.
The League One club, who failed to gain promotion via the play-offs are looking to cash in on the striker who has less than one year left on his contract.
Coventry City, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United are all reported as being interested in the former Wealdstone player but no-one has yet made an official bid.
Whilst the Sky Blues don't have the financial clout that Middlesbrough have with their parachute payments and United with their compensation over being relegated after the Tevez scandal, City would be able to offer Beckford regular first team football which may well swing the deal in their favour.
