Coventry City midfielder Guilluame Beuzelin faces a big test today when he plays in a behind closed doors first team v reserves practice game to assess whether he will be able to play for the Sky Blues in the forthcoming games.
If the Frenchman suffers any reaction to a knee injury, he is likely to have an operation straight away and could miss up to six weeks of action.
"The physio told me last week that I need a clean up operation on my knee but the surgeon said it was not bad and I can try to play a bit," said Beuzlin to the CT.
"We have a game today and we will decide afterwards whether I should have one or not. It is not sore at the moment, just a little uncomfortable. I have all the mobility with my knee so I am hoping it will be all right.
"I need an operation anyway at some point, but ideally I will wait for the summer. "We have had a lot of bad luck with injuries and hopefully I will be fit enough for the weekend. I want to play during the Christmas period and that will be a good present for me."
