Coventry City Ladies end their pre-season schedule with a trip to Birmingham City Ladies on Sunday with the Sky Blues manager looking forward to seeing his side come up against some Olympians.
"The Birmingham game will be another tough fixture, their Team GB players have obviously performed very well through the Olympics," said City Ladies boss Paul Cudby.
"It'll be a good test for us, and ideal preparation for the start of our league campaign."
Birmingham Ladies and England Internationals Karen Carney and Eniola Aluko were both part of the Team GB side that lost 2-0 to Canada last week in the Olympic quarter final at the City of Coventry Stadium.
Despite the defeat the success story behind the improving game has done nothing to help all involved at grass roots level and Cudby added:
"I hope it's really raised awareness of the quality of the women's game on a national and on a local level."
"Our players deserve more following and support than they currently get, so I hope the local public have had some of their perceptions changed, and that they want to be involved supporting their local women's football team."
