Former Coventry City manager Eric Black is expected to be unveiled as the assistant to Steve Kean at Blackburn Rovers today.

Black, who was popular in his time at Highfield Road before he was sacked by Mike McGinnity, has been out of work since leaving Sunderland following the sacking of Steve Bruce and is set to be Kean's third assistant of the season after sacking John Jensen and having Paul Clement leave for a job with Paris St Germain.

Black has been an assistant manager at Celtic, Birmngham, Wigan and Sunderland as well as managing Motherwell and the Sky Blues.
