Former Coventry City player and twice manager Bobby Gould has spoken out against the planned boycott of the FA Cup tie against Southampton.
A boycott at what is a traditionally poorly attended game anyway has been proposed by members of the SISU Out campaign in order to try and starve the current club's owners of cash.
But speaking to the CT, Bobby Gould has said that he does not agree with this boycott. Gould said: “Anything that does damage to the club I’m against it.
“The FA Cup is another way of earning money and at this moment in time that’s what they need.
“If in 1987 fans had done a boycott of the club then I wonder what would have happened to the team?”
