Bookmakers are not fancying Coventry City to take the Championship by storm this season despite signing Freddie Eastwood from Wolves.
A table of odds offered by a number of bookmakers has ranked the Sky Blues as having a finishing place of 17th and odds of up to 40-1 to win the Championship or 14-1 to be promoted either automatically or via the play-offs.
Iain Dowie's QPR lead the table followed by Birmingham City, Reading, Palace, Sheffield United and Wolves.
City are 5-1 to be relegated with Blackpool 5-4 favourites for the drop, followed by Barnsley at 7-4 and Doncaster Rovers at 2-1.
Something the bookies may not have taken into account though is the fact when City were last promoted from the second tier of English football to the top flight back in '67, our manager then was a former Fulham player who's playing career was cut short by injury. Now we have a former Fulham player as manager, who had his playing career cut short by injury.
