Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd is sympathising with the frustrations of City supporters at the lack of competitiveness and success and has pleaded for patience
He said to the CT: "All our supporters want us to be in the Premier League, but it doesn't happen just like that. A magician doesn't come to you and say 'there you go.' It takes a lot of hard work, support from all areas and a little bit of luck."
"At the moment we haven't got any luck whatsoever but it will even itself out because of the time we're spending on the training pitch, the work we're doing. We'll be better for these experiences, but what we don't want to happen is to be here talking about the same things in a year's time."
"We need to be a stronger, more professional club. We want the sky blue shirt to strike fear into teams, not have them thinking 'they're a bit milky.' We've had that and we don't want it any more. That takes decisions, strategy and sometimes a little bit of calculated risk."
