With controversial striker Marlon King due to sign for Coventry City today, the City boss Aidy Boothroyd can't wait for the player to show what he can do.
Boothroyd said to the CT: "Marlon will sign for us on Monday all being well and I think we are getting a £5m player for nothing."
"I'm very happy with my squad as it is, but Marlon has been a terrific player at a high level and will give us that bit extra."
King probably played some of his best football while under the stewardship of Boothroyd and his assistant Martyn Pert when the three were at Watford.
There can be little doubt that King respects Boothroyd and that the two men get on well together. It remains to be seen if Boothroyd can reign in the volatile behaviour of King and, once again, get the best out of a very tarnished player.
The signing of King has split the City faithful right down the middle with some morally against the signing of of the twice imprisoned King, while others think he ought to be given yet another chance.
However, all agree that the lengthy saga surrounding the the signing of King has gone on far too long and needs to be resolved one way or another.
