Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said he is happy with City's away League Cup tie at Morecambe FC.
Speaking about the match which will take place at Morecambe's new Globe Arena probably on August 10th, Boothroyd told the CT: "It's certainly a long way away but I am looking forward to it and it is a tie I think we can win.
"They are a good side who got to the play-offs last season and we could be the first team to play in their new stadium if their first league game is an away fixture.
"I think the Carling Cup is a great competition and it pulls everyone together early on in the season and gives you a chance to have a good look at all the squad.
"I am always open-minded about it but I have used the competition to use my squad in full wherever I have been.
"There may be players who come in later in pre-season and it will be a chance to have a look at them and get games."
