Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has been talking about the dismissal of Martin Cranie at Leicester City on Saturday.
Cranie was sent off for the second of two bookable offences in the 88th minute of the 1-1 draw which earned the Sky Blues a valuable point and City manager Aidy Boothroyd told the CT: "Martin had to go for the tackle but it was a bit of a lunge and the referee had no choice.
"It's a shame for him because he's been superb in the last few weeks - a real Rolls Royce. He's a centre half playing in midfield and then I ask him to do a job for me at left back because Stephen O'Halloran was on a booking and Leicester were looking to isolate him and give him problems."
