Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd came away from Portman Road on Saturday 'thrilled' by the performance of his players.

Saturday's away win at Ipswich saw Coventry City leapfrog the Suffolk side in the Championship league table and propel them into seventh place.

Boothroyd (Pictured below) admitted to the CT: "It was a tough game. Any game in the Championship is, Ipswich are where they are in the table for a reason and against a squad and a manager of that quality we had to be at our best to get a result."

"In the first half we were the better team by a distance, put them under pressure and created a lot of good chances. In the second half they came out the better team and although we hit the post it was one of those fight for your lives jobs."
