Aidy Boothroyd returned from a family holiday yesterday and went straight from the airport to The Ricoh Arena to meet existing members of Coventry City’s Premier Club.
His aim was to try to get them to renew their membership for another five year term. Benefits include a padded seat with nameplate and the opportunity to meet with other firms to build a network. Membership also provides the opportunity to use meeting rooms at the Ricoh when there are no matches.
One of the first company's to renew was the Warwick based Sandell Interiors Business development manager for Sandell Interiors, Nissar Khan, said, “We have four seats in the Premier Club and did not hesitate to renew our membership as a number of benefits which include inviting customers to a corporate hospitality experience at the Ricoh, rewarding our staff members with a match day experience at the Yorkshire Bank Lounge and, last but not least, we have made a number of friends and contacts with other members."
“Having a number of Sky Blues fans in our workplace including myself, we were very keen to meet and hear Aidy’s thoughts. I think everyone who attended was very impressed with his views and plans on the team for next season.
“I was most impressed with the positive atmosphere and the buzz he created in the room about his desire and hunger to get the club back to the Premier League. Also it was encouraging to hear that his priority on players is to bring some extra pace from the wings and up front which most of us City fans were crying out for last season. Hopefully this can be the season where we make real progress!”
The manager of Premier Club, Trudi Colledge said, “Aidy talked a great deal of common sense with real passion and that was certainly well received by the audience and we were delighted with the number of members renewing afterwards.”
