Boothroyd To Keep Attacking

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has told his side to keep attacking and foresees that it won't be long before someone receives a thumping at The Ricoh.

Boothroyd was disappointed at losing to Preston last Saturday as he was hoping to get through the season undefeated at The Ricoh.

"We wanted to be unbeaten here all season," said the City boss ahead of tonights home game against Doncaster Rovers to the CT. "That's not going to happen now but there's no point sulking or going home to tear your hair out."

"You've got to dust yourselves down and get on with it. We've got two games this week and we've got to try to make sure that we get points from both of them. We will concentrate on the positives and there were a lot of them on Saturday."

"We entertained but we didn't win, but I know for a fact that we'll play a lot worse and lose, and if we carry on playing like that, somebody's going to get really battered."

"The important thing is to eradicate the silly mistakes that cost us, or make sure that if we do make mistakes it's in the opposition half, not in our own where it can cost us goals."

Boothroyd is taking the Doncaster threat seriously and is aware that tonight's game won't be an easy one.

"Doncaster will be a difficult game," he said. "They are a good footballing side who try to play out from the back and we'll have to counter that. It's going to be a 16/17-man squad and everybody's got a role to play."

"You have to have a mixture of attacking players because it's tough up there and it's a nice position to be in when you've got people like McSheffrey, Ward, Bell, King and Doyle on the bench."
