New Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that he wants to keep highly fancied keeper Keiren Westwood.
A number of Premier League clubs are being reported has having shown an interest in the Player Of The Year and Boothroyd told the CT: "Keiren is a really good keeper. "He's an international and has not yet played in the top flight but he has not played in a winning team that has got promottion so those will be things in the back of his mind.
"He will be thinking 'maybe I need to stay here and be part of what the Chairman and Manager are trying to build' I am sure he can go and make a quick buck somewhere else but at the end of the day it is about medals and experiences, so I am looking forward to meeting him and meeting all the boys because we are not a one man team.
"Of course, Keiren is a good player but although I haven't met him yet, I'm sure he will be the first to say that it takes 11,15,29 men with a backroom staff to make a good team.
"I am sure he will be fine, although I am sure we will be one of the ones with his phone turned off after I said I will be getting the lads back in early."
