Birmingham City whose home game with Leeds was postponed due to problems with their new pitch now only lead the Championship table on goal difference from Derby County.
A late goal gave the Rams a 1-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday. Preston remain in third with a 1-0 win at Barnsley.

There were wins for Hull,Plymouth who won 3-1 at Norwich with Youssef Safri scoring the Canaries goal, Sunderland and Southend. The games at Colchester and Stoke were drawn.
Andy Morrell scored for Blackpool in a 2-1 win over Port Vale. Craig Reid made his Football League debut when he was a 76th minute substitute for Cheltenham in a 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town. Richard Shaw played for Millwall in a 1-0 win at Brighton but was booked in the 27th minute.
Locally, neither Nuneaton Borough or Rugby played but Bedworth United who were without a first team game fielded seven first teamers to beat Coventry Sphinx Reserves 4-2 in a Bedworth Nursing Cup Quarter-Final at The Oval.
Leamington FC finally broke the Midland Alliance unbeaten record with a 5-1 thumping of Causeway United. Former Sky Blues Ben Mackey and Dave Pearson were both amongst the goalscorers. This win takes their unbeaten league run to 24 games. The Brakes now have the FA Vase on their minds as on Saturday they face Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the Fourth Round.
Atherstone drew 0-0 at Biddulph whilst Stratford beat Romulus 3-2 at Masons Road.
With Massey Ferguson forced to postpone the Midland Combination Premier Division cross town derby with Coventry Sphinx due to a waterlogged pitch, Coventry Copsewood took centre stage but Scott Furlong's side were beaten 6-3 at home by Brereton Social. Nuneaton Griff earned a point with a 2-2 draw at Pilkington XXX.
In Division One, Leamington Hibernian drew 1-1 at Newhall United and Stockingford picked up a point form a 0-0 draw at Heather Athletic. In Division Two, Warwick Town lost 1-0 at Coton Green.
