Bristol Rovers moved out of the bottom four of the League One table after snatching a late 2-1 win in their re-arranged game at Swindon Town.
Jones scored in the sixth minute for Swindon who had former Coventry City midfielder Conor Thomas booked. However, goals from Taylor in the 83rd minute, followed by a Branco own goal saw Bristol Rovers move up to 15th in the table and Southend United drop into the bottom four.
In the other League One game, leaders Scunthorpe United drew 0-0 with Charlton Athletic. Former City defender Jordan Clarke played the whole game for Scunthorpe with former City loanee Jonnie Jackson playing the whole game for Charlton in front of a crowd of 3,801.
