Junior Brown has said that joining Coventry City was an opportunity he could not pass up.
The 29 year old defender will join City when his contract at Shrewsbury Town expires on the last day of this month.
Speaking to the club website, he said: “It’s good to get it done and now I can enjoy the rest of the summer and focus and get ready for pre-season.
“It’s a big club with a big history and obviously it’s been in a bit of a situation the last few years, but there is a good manager at the club who I’ve spoken to several times and he’s just filled me with confidence.
“When you go to a new club, first and foremost you speak to the manager and listen to what he has to say and hopefully it resonates with you.
“After speaking to him the first time and listening to what he had planned, his thoughts and how much he wanted me at the club and what he thought I could bring and where the club is heading, it was a great opportunity that I didn’t think I could pass up.
“The club is going in the right direction and there are some great players here and some exciting young players coming through and then following promotion, it’s an exciting time to be part of the club heading in the right direction.
“I’m chomping at the bit to get going.”
