Iain Dowie has finally confirmed that Colin Cameron will not be offered a contract for next season. The midfielder joined City from Wolves last summer on a one year deal with the option of a second year if enough matches were played.

Injured for a fair bit of the season, the Scot who is not well liked by sections of the City support has not done enough to impress Iain Dowie and has been allowed to find another club.

The City boss told the club website: "I'd like to go on record to thank Colin for his service to Coventry City and wish him the very best of luck for the future. "He is a terrific individual to have around the place and a very good footballer and I have no doubt he will do an excellent job for another club."
